Great little stove. Easily heats 600sq ft log cabin in N Wisconsin. With good dry hardwood I can have coals for reloading after 8-9 hours.Overall Performance:

Probable the worst stove I've encountered in my life. It looks much better than it works. I'm guessing before it was required to have a secondary burn system this stove was decent. The secondary burn set up seems like after thought. They made a small firebox even smaller. I get the stove isn't big to begin with but the secondary burn system takes up way too much room. The door is no good ...Overall Performance:

I've had my Jotul F 602 for about 8 years. I generally burn seasoned Almond wood. I purchased the stove when my 1200 sq ft homes central electric heat failed and the time to replace it required getting an alternate heat source ASAP. Another consideration was my home and neighborhood is all electric and prone to power failures, natural gas is not available, and due to local fire regulations ...Overall Performance:

I live in western Pennsylvania USA and have had this stove for 2 years. I think it is outstanding for the size and efficiency. The only drawback is the size of the logs this little stove takes. 16 inch logs are the absolute MAX, you are much better at 12 inches, by far. In saying that; if you don't cut wood yourself, you will more than likely have to cut all the wood you get in half. Most ...Overall Performance:

The old 602s that I have go twelve hours. How is this an upgrade if it only goes three hours?Overall Performance:

I purchased a CB stove in 1976 for our den. This is without a doubt the best looking wood burning stove I have seen. We also cut and split our own wood so we can cut it to any width we want. Ideally the split log should be around 14inches with a small diameter also the ash tray, an accessory is highly recommended, the Norwegians built a good one.Overall Performance:

After much research we decided to go with the Jotul F 602 CB. This is our first winter with it and we couldn't be happier. Granted we have had a mild winter so far, for Alaska anyway, but this stove is so efficient it heats our 950 square ft home no problem. We put up 9 cords of seasoned birch and with the efficiency of our wood stove we should have enough for next year too!!Overall Performance:

I bought a new one in early December and am impressed with it's operation. I do feel the secondary air box section that is hanging down in the rear does affect overall ability to load the stove to what it's capacity should be. But what you can load does burn nice. Mine is shut down this morning, time for pipe and chimney check on both stoves, also have an older Energy Harvester in the ...Overall Performance:

The best wood stove I've ever owned. (had 2 other brands) Very efficient. the only drawback I can think of is that the wood box is a bit short.Overall Performance:

I installed one in my small log cabin in MT. Very easy to start and keep a fire going. Will keep a fire burning for about 3 hours, but coals glowing for up to 5 hrs. Best if you keep your logs to about 12 inches in length. The fire box is small.Overall Performance:

I have owned two of these and made the mistake of buying one for a client. Because it's about the smallest nice looking stove you can easily find I got them. Big mistake. 1. it's not airtight - the inlet grate doesn't fully close. So an all night burn or heck even a 6 hour plus is impossible. I have to seal the cracks up with ceramic insulation to get a very long burn. 2. it's just too ...Overall Performance:

Unfortunately, as someone who has no easy access to chainsaw or splitter and must rely on commercial wood dealers, I have had a deal of trouble getting 16" wood that is actually sixteen inches. Mostly because it is a front loader, anything over 16 1/8" makes it impossible to close the door, which means the piece, sometimes already on fire due to poor measuring on my part, must be carried, ...Overall Performance:

I live in a 650 sq.ft. cabin in central Alabama. I've used the Jotul F602 as my primary heat source for 5 years now. (In the coldest months, I add a small portable electric radiator in the bathroom.) For what it is, the JotulF602 is fantastic. It is perfect in the fall and spring, when I need a quick fire in the morning to take a chill off the house--or in the evenings when I come in from ...Overall Performance:

While the model 602 does its job I suppose, I have to admit that I was disappointed in its overall performance. First, the space in side of the fire box is really small, even for the size of the stove. I must limit the wood to short and small diameter pieces to get it to burn properly. Second, although I had the stove pipe professionally installed (presumably ruling out this as a cause), the ...Overall Performance:

I love my Jotul 602. In fact I love it so much that our house has two of them. The old original is hooked up in the upper floor of my garage heating my shop and an extra sleeping space. The new one, the one with the glass door and enamel finish sits proudly in our living room. Great stoves, great heat, great looks, they can't be beat. I have only one complaint. That complaint is irksome at ...Overall Performance:

For a small stove, I haven't been able to beat this one and I've owned a lot of stoves. It uses a lot of wood, burns quick in my opinion for the heat I get out of it. Heats my pantry and kitchen, and I get some heat from it into the dining room. Overall, a great stove for us.
