Review: Pacific Energry True North TN19
Pacific Energry True North TN19
Have had my TN19 since 2011. Very few stoves this shape (why is that?). It loads north south (why would anyone want to load so the logs can tumble out onto the floor? Great stove . . . please continue to make 'em . . . and Thank You. Have had no issues with the damper, it controls the draft well, if you do your job, attending to properly building a fire. Tip: If I'm starting a fire with a chimney full of cold air . . . or if there is an inversion outdoors, I plug the vacuum hose on an old electrolux into the exhaust on the vac and stick it in the cleanout trapdoor, blowing upward to exhaust the chimney air. Then I build a little campfire in the firebox and add wood, slimmer pieces first, medium next until I have a hot fire, then select larger pieces. You have to get to know your stove and work with it, love my TN19, heck, I even like the name True North. PS: Most of the time I do not have to haul out the vac, just once in a while.
