Review: Lopi Republic 1250
Lopi Republic 1250
This Lopi Republic 1250 stove will heat our 1150 sf house but does take a while. The fire box is small so the wood needs to be small pieces. If the fire is started properly, per instructions, we don't get smoke into the room. However, when re-loading, I have to open a window or door to increase the air pressure in the house relative to the firebox air pressure. Most of the time this measure will prevent smoke from escaping from the fire box. It may be the wood I'm burning but in my experience, an 8 hour burn time is a stretch unless the manufacturer is counting the last ember burning. The door hinge pins eventually work their way out and they have to be pushed back down from time to time.
