I have been using this stove for 4 years. Buy the cheapest thermostat you can find. Mine was $10. I heat my house in Wisconsin with about 4 1/2 tons a year. I have no complaints. Replaced the disruption fan a year ago. Clean it twice a week. Think about it anything runs better when it's clean. Takes 20 minutes to clean. The problem is they don't make this stove anymore. Why? I think because it's ...Overall Performance:

I bought this stove p38+used about 10 years ago and installed it myself to heat a basement of 1000 square foot. I was glad I chose this over a propane space heater. I clean it well at the end of the heating season and have only had the tech over twice in 10,years to service the electric/ anger components routinely. It s been outstanding, effecient, and cost effective!Overall Performance:

I've had my Harman P38+ for the past 5 years. Every year I've had it, I've had to replace the ESP probe. It was replaced under warranty for the first three years. I thought it was just a fluke until I had to replace it last year and I'm about ready to replace it again. Before you go replacing the circuit board, always start with this component first. This sensor essentially "drives" the rest of ...Overall Performance:

had this stove since 07 worked fine till the adjustments when south. Now put a new board and ESP probe and now it doesn't work The light just blink three times saying the probe is no good- but I have a new one No seems to have any answers Why they didn't just make the old boards, the stove worked perfectOverall Performance:

Cannot believe how efficient the heat exchanger is on this little stove. 400 degree heat at the blower ports. Compared to some of the others I have worked on, that's over a 125 degree improvement over the tube type heat exchangers. Nice stove. Bottom feed system is great also compared to the drop system.Overall Performance:

I just wrote a review, but two weeks after installing the circuit board the stupid combustion fan went out. This stove is not recommended. I should have went to lowes and bought a summers heat brand. If I buy from a stihl dealer I drive down the street and deal with them, but a harman dealer is to far to deal with for most people. I had to learn how to fix this stove myself under warranty. ...Overall Performance:

I installed the stove on, or around January 25th of 2010. The major complaint is the circuit board quit working in 2013. I installed a newer circuit board that was much larger and had to cut a wider whole in my stove. It works fine now. I done this myself under warranty. I done this under warranty because their customer service is really closed to the public and they want you to ...Overall Performance:

I have a 1400 sq.ft. home and cannot turn my feed rate higher than 3 on my p38. If I do, the pellets dont burn all the way and the pan fills up in a matter of hours with half burned pellets. Also, when I turn the blower know up to turbo, it doesnt seem to change at all. Could this all be an issue with the blower? I would think I should be able to turn my feed rate up higher to heat my house. I ...Overall Performance:

saved alot of money on oil since we bought this stove almost ten years ago, no problems with it, I clean it myself, I have found that if you use cheap pellets it gets dirty fasterOverall Performance:

has been excellent for 2 winters, but this fall would NOT light and build up enough heat to activate feed augur. Was professionally cleaned last May, used for another month, then shut off for the summer, It has always been carefully cared for- It should NOT be having this breakdown. (A sensor problem??? an augur problem??? It will be expensive to find out.)Overall Performance:

Great stove. Am glad I chose it over some of the other ones we looked at. We can get 43 hours of heat out of 50 lbs of pellets, when the stove is set on 1. It just sits there and runs and runs. Every 100 sx of pellets I shut it down and clean it and fire it back up for another 100 sx. Lowered my heathing bill from $400 a month to $175. Buy a Harman you won't be disappointed.
