I have been using this stove since 2003. Once I figured out how to use it, it has worked great. Not a mechanical problem in the first 13 years. Had to replace convection blower 2years ago and the auger motor this year. Can't complain after 15 years!! Love it!Overall Performance:

We put this stove in back in 2008 and it has worked great as far as heating goes and ease-of-use. It's loud and rattles like an old car! Now after cleaning this year I can't keep it running! Really not sure what I'm going to do with this boat anchor! I'm sick of banging my head against the wall over this thing and really don't want to dump more money into it by have a service tech out to look at ...Overall Performance:

I have a 2001 insert which is the same thing. In 8 years I have replaced the control board, the auger motor, the convection blower and the combustion blower. These are all of the main parts in the stove. To add insult to injury if you check breckwell.com for parts you will find they charge 30 percent more for every part they list then the other websites do. Do yourself a favor, stay away from ...Overall Performance:

I bought a used P2000-FS in Sept. 2011 on CL. It seemed to be a good deal initially($800.00). I have been using it steady for the past months. I clean it daily to avoid starting issues. The stove does need to be cleaned more than I expected. Soots up fast, shuts off after startup if not kept clean. I thought it was due to it being a used stove. I've gotten used to the quirks and have adapted. ...Overall Performance:

We owned ours for 7 years, replaced one auger motor. The glass craps up and needs to be cleaned hourly. I would not suggest to buy this stove to anyone. We are replacing it with a Harmon P-68 - we also own a Harmon P-38 for the past five years and with the cheapest pellets we needed to wipe the glass less then 12 times since we owned it - these stoves run 24/7 and suggest you save your money ...Overall Performance:

i've owned a p2000fs since 09/2008, its very noisey, fans are very loud, rattles, front glass soots everytime used, have to clean almost daily, now it fills burn pot with pellets and will not ignite, tried all processes owners book says and still does not work, waiting on response from techs. if i buy another one it will be a harmon for about the same money. not very happy with breckwell ...Overall Performance:

I have not encountered any of the negative issues i've read here. I'm starting my 4th season with my P200I insert and the stove has performed flawlessly. My only complaint is that the convection blower is beginning to whine a little, i see a $195 replacement fan in my future however that wouldn't be out of line considering that this stove has consumed 10 tons over 3 heating seasons. After 2 seasons already having to replace parts on unit. Called the manufacturer and getting the ususal corporate go around "it's out of wrranty". I have only had the unit for 2 seasons and have yet to see a return on my investment. The company is telling me I'm entitled to a 30% discount on parts through them. I spent over $5K on the unit and was hoping to see a return in 5 years, atr this rate ...Overall Performance:

I've gotten lucky. I've only had to replace the auger motor three times. The last motor I got from another mfg. (Heat Tech in Gridly, CA) it was a differently built auger, and I've gone two seasons now and everything is fine. I've had to replace a burn pot - original was defective, failed after one year and one week-company told me to pound sand on extending warranty one week. My main beef ...Overall Performance:

the unit cost 2200 plus 6% sales tax and the unit was rusty at the end of the first year. The second year the auger motor was replace, the third year the convection motor was replace and the fourth year the combution motor needs to be replace. This unit is use for 3 to 6 hrs during the winter for a family room. Every winter something has to be replace. Would never purchase a breckwellOverall Performance:

my opinion is to run, run, run. money pit. used not quite 3 winters. parts needed so far, convection blower motor, printed circuit panel. can wait to see what else fails. one reply had it right. Breakwell would be a better name for the piece of junk. other fiends have quadra fire and talked me into pellet use. good friends, uhOverall Performance:

what a piece of iron. I really have to say it may be just being a pellet stove. when cleaning soot clings to everything and hard to remove from hands, gloves, arms or othe body parts. going back to good old wood next year. pellet too expensive for the amount of heat provided. never purchase a breckwell.Overall Performance:

I have owned a Brewckwell P2000 fireplace insert and have had it for the past 6 years. It runs very well and have not had an issue. I do clean the side panels and vaccume it out weekly, so it is kept as clean as possible. I also clean the exhaust pipe yearly as well as the convection motor. I find that preventative maintanence is essential and may be the reason it runs as well as it does.Overall Performance:

I have had two P2000FS in two separate houses for a total of 5 years. These are expensive units that are very attractive. I am replacing the convection blower after using it for two winters due to defective parts. This should be replaced free of charge because everyone is complaining. The stove is semi quiet, the fan blows at 3000 r.p.m. by the way. That r.p.m. should be a question when you buy ...Overall Performance:

We are now on our second year we have had the blower motor changed twice the controlpanel once and the decretive tubes on out side fixe once. now they are rattling again. this is junk and I would recomend you stay away. Must be cleaned constantly as staed by others. I wish I had spent the money for the wood stove and not this pellet stove.Overall Performance:

We have had ares for 3 years. I have replaced the blower units and now the controll unit. This is not a cheap unit to buy and the parts are not cheap. The blower units ( motors) are built very cheap they are not a closed unit and the grit from the pellets eat at the bearings they should be a closed unitOverall Performance:

THis stove has been nothing but trouble from day 1. It shoots pellets outside of the burnpot and has caused mini-fires down below in the ash bin. I have to clean mine almost daily now in order for it to work at all. I've owned my stove since October 2008. I've had trouble from the start. It is NOT quiet as a whisper. It is noisy and rattles a lot. Also, I had a fire in the ashpan. The machine was set on 2 at the time and kept sending pellets at a rate that couldn't burn fast enough. Good thing I was home at the time. I'm going to speak with the dealer about sending this back to the manufacturer and getting ...Overall Performance:

Low quality overpriced model with issues: 1. Poor factory testing: check list was included but the stove was shipped with missing dumper control and igniter had wire with defective connections. It means the stove never been tested. It was such a pain to detect the problem! 2. There is smoke leak when stove is starting up 3. The stove is advertised as quite model, but reality… is very ...Overall Performance:

We have had our stove for about 4 winters. We call it a BREAKWELL because we're always buying parts for the thing. I just purchased one this year. Only did some test run. Overall, it seemed to have worked fine. It is a little noisy, however. Not as what it said whisper quiet. Will see how well it performs in winter. Some people used the highest heating setting, which is not for normal use. Try to avoid that.
