I've had this stove at about 25 years. I has been an awesome unit but all mechanical items eventually need parts replaced. WHERE DO I GET THEM. STOVE: great. REPLACEMENT SERVICE: sucks. The manual has a complete list of parts (even though it is in French) but nowhere to order parts. This should not be a secret. Not sure if this is the right forum but I need to ask someone. I have a Franco Belge Normandie oil stove. I finally got it so it stays lit. I got it 2nd hand. It only has 1 winters use.My problem is it only distributes diesel on number 5/6 and even on those setting the heat output is minimal. Occasionally the catalyzer will glow but most of the time it is just a flame with not a ton of heat. I ...Overall Performance:

I have used this stove for over 16 years and am using the 2nd one now. It is hard to light unless I leave a Tablespoon of charcoal or dirt mounded in the center of the fire pot. The I let the oil flow into the pot until I see it has just surrounded that center, which wicks the fuel & I light the mound top. Now I need to know a parts source in case I need to replace the carb.Overall Performance:

I have used this stove for several years, Best value for the money. I burn dyed diesel #2. You need a minimum 15 ft of 5" pipe from the top of the stove. At high altitude 4" is supposed to work better. If you have a draft problem you don't have enough pipe, or your damper is not adjusted properly. As far as lighting it goes, try squirting the gel into the small pipe behind the lower door next to ...Overall Performance:

I fine this stove very good but the problem with this stove is that it is very hard to light if we don't have a wind.I have a brick chimney and was told that I needed a 5" liner which would give it more draft, which I had installed. The stove works fine except when their is no wind to create a draft, at time when I have this problem I use up a quarter of a bottle of fire-starter fluid. Another ...Overall Performance:
