I too have woken up in the morning freezing and had to use a rag and strain oil into bottle or turkey baster, I have cursed my stove for yrs until i got a monitor type with no problems, I am writing this because I have to go clean my moms stove now because it is doing the same thing, very messy and a big pain in the butt, I hate these stoves and wish my friend never told me to get one!!!!!!!Overall Performance:

Using it for 6 years outstanding. Only time it malfunctioned was my fault. On tall chimneys the stove startscif the chimneyvis warm. Burn some starter for a bit before turning on the oil flow. Will buy another if I build another home.Overall Performance:

My experience with this heater has been very good. You should read the instruction and you will have no problems. I use it as a backup and is connected directly to my oil furnace fuel tank. I does not require power so if I lose my electrical supply this unit will heat my cellar and keep my pipes from freezing.Overall Performance:

If you want to wake up cold and have to use a turkey baster to remove a liter of oil from your stove then get a Kuma. My Kuma is such a lemon of a stove its putting me in a lousy mood. I'm always cursing it! It's such a pain, always burning orange, flame going out and the soot is very hard to wash off, use lava soap. This stove is a big waste of metal. Whoever made it should be sued big time!
