Lopi Leyden

Lopi Leyden

The Lopi Leyden is a top load stove by design with the largest firebox available in a medium sized stove.

The Leyden includes Lopi's fine quality details in the castings, inside and out. The non-catalytic cross-draft system, heavy-duty-refractory, unbelievable combustion and the option of a 160 CFM blower make this stove worthy of a closer look. Lopi even includes a custom designed, extra-long wrought iron poker and gloves for added convenience.

  • Heats up to 2000 square feet
  • Weighs in at 503 lbs.
  • Will take 21" logs
  • Burns at 73,100 BTUs/hr.

Upgraded from a Lopi Patroit - needed more heat. Reasonable performance the first year of use, but lots of smoke. Then I discovered that at 8000 foot altitude it required about 30 to 40 feet of chimney to draw properly - or a forced draft. Next fall will see a new stove!!!!

Biggest problem is the need to clean insibe of stove (sweep it out) almost every day and definetely every 3 dzys need to tear it downn and vacuum inside all the ash. Doesnt seem like any ash goes down from the pot, it all collects inside the stove.

I bought this stove in 2011. Had it installed by the dealer. Smoked up my home all the time. Could not sleep at night was up opening up the windows to let smoke out. Was told by dealer that it was the wood. This winter have only used it 4 times. Was awaken from a dead sleep from smelling smoke. Whole house smells like smoke every time we use it. All the smoke has caused us to have headache's. I ...

I have noticed the first complaint about this stove is customer service. That complaint is being directed in the wrong place. Yes, Lopi the company built it. They are not the ones who sold it to you. Like a car, you go to the dealer, and not Chevrolet. It is your dealer who is failing you and shame on them for that. We have sold Lopi for over 20 years and I'll bet you 10 to 1 that we have no ...

We are into our thrid winter using the Lopi Leyden and we are very unhappy. We have had to replace the heat exchanger (combustor) three times. Once the stove was so hot it caused the logs in our log home to blister behind it. The heat exchanger fallls apart and blocks the air from moving. We had Fire Side in Auburn ME install it after we purchased it from them. They have been very unhelpful ...

Here's a phone number for their factory tours. They might be willing to connect you to their parts or service department. Phone: 425-609-2500 It's the only phone number I could find. We're considering a new stove, including the Leyden, but are less than impressed with how hard it is to contact some of the manufacturers via phone. Makes me want to look for a different manufacturer.

Does anyone know the gasket size for this stove - there is no phone number for Lopi on the website or facebook and it's not listed in the manual anywhere - frustrating. I believe the dealer gave me the wrong size.
