Outstanding stove for the price. But I'd only use for a garage. Its NOT even close to air tight. If you load it with a lot of smaller wood, you can't shut enough air off to cool it down. As long as you know that and don't overload it, its a great stove for a workspace. I wouldn't use it in my living room.Overall Performance:

I recently purchased the Vogelzaang model bx26e.I have to comment that having only used this stove twice I can safely safe this is the biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased.
The engineer must have been thinking this was for display only and not for burning anything. Some of the upper seams leak smoke. The fire door does not sit tightly against the frame and you ...

Great stove for the money. If you have had $1500 dollar stoves in the past then you won't like this one. However it heats up my 1200 sq ft upstairs without blinking an eye here in south, MO. I would recommend that you vent straight up through the roof and not through the wall. it makes all the difference in the world with this little guy not to have any bends in the pipe.Overall Performance:

The door is only gasketed on three sides, not the bottom, this leaves a gap that makes it impossible to cut the draft off causing easy runnaway of fires. The cast pieces do not fit closely allowing the above issue. I ...Overall Performance:

I've had this stove for about two weeks. It is not even close to air tight, and as such needs to be used with caution, and under supervision. I certainly would not put this stove (at least as is out of the box) inside your home. I've had a couple of runaway fires so far (with just a couple of pieces of dry wood) that created flue exit temperatures of 900+ degs F (my thermometer was pegged). ...
