For a small stove, I haven't been able to beat this one and I've owned a lot of stoves. It uses a lot of wood, burns quick in my opinion for the heat I get out of it. Heats my pantry and kitchen, and I get some heat from it into the dining room. Overall, a great stove for us.Overall Performance:

I love my Jotul 602. In fact I love it so much that our house has two of them. The old original is hooked up in the upper floor of my garage heating my shop and an extra sleeping space. While the model 602 does its job I suppose, I have to admit that I was disappointed in its overall performance. First, the space in side of the fire box is really small, even for the size of the stove. I must limit the wood to short and small diameter pieces to get it to burn properly.
