Harman Advance
I live in Queens, New York. Formally, pellet stoves are not approved for use in five borough. But being fed up with monopoly of local gas company I decided to buy a pellet stove anyway. I was looking for a stove which would start with the least amount of smoke, not to alarm watchfull neighbors. My wife demanded a three-D window. So after a long search we settled on "Harman Advance." I bought it from a local dealer "Liberty BioMass". I did my own intallation. This stove starts with a tiny puff of smoke. I tested automatic thermostat setting and it worked just fine. However, I've run my stove mainly on manual setting, I think it is more economical. I've run it as little as 3/4 lb per hour. My gas bill instantly became 50% less. My average temperature 78F not 70f as before. This stove looks and feels like a "Cadilac". I love it solid construction. The only issue I have so far is that the distribution fan tends to be very noisy on a middle setting. My dealer tells me it is normal, I don't think so. For three tousand dollars it's better not be. I plan to request to replace the fan when the heating season ends. I hope that harma will live to the service expectations. I will you update later.
