I was so excited about this stove until I started using it. The heat only blows out half of the tubes it is supposed to. It has trouble starting and I get smoke in the house when it has trouble starting or goes out. The sensor does not realize there is smoke inside. I have had 3 techs at my house who all agree the way it heats is strange and not right.
The time to get someone to come out is horrible. I am 6 weeks into my issues and they still have not been resolved. I do not get calls back either. I finally spoke with the GM for fireplace Village in Bedford NH who promised to call me back but did not. He had someone else to call and tell me i need a different brand of pellets!!! All these problems and he says it is the pellets!!
The tech who was on site said it was burning great but not heating evenly. Do bad pellets only heat to the left? I am at my wits end. I asked for a call back from the GM directly. I am going to try to return the stove and by another brand. We will see how that goes. Also, I have had to miss work for a tech to come and they don't show when they are supposed to so I had to call and complain as I took the morning off from work. They said they would be there as the first apt and they didn't get there until after noon! They they were scheduled for the last apt. They also do not keep parts in their van so if they have to work on it they need to come back again! Yet more time at work lost. The first tech promised to contact the manufacturer and call be back but never did!
I also called Wolf Steel (makers of Napoleon stoves) on several occasions and they told me the right person to talk to was not there and he would call back but never did. After weeks of trying to talk to some one I got a person who told me they cannot help and to go to my dealer! Sorry for the rant but please do not waste your time and money on one of these stoves. I am soooo sorry I did.
Well, since i started writing this i made more calls and the GM asked another person to call me again! They now want to buy me 2 bags of pellets to see if it fixes all of my problems! The saga continues.
