Dutchwest Cast Iron Extra Large 2462
I was a little nervous about buying this stove after reading some of the reviews on this site. After going to a few different dealers and talking with them I decided to purchase the Dutchwest 2462 XL with the cat and have not been disappointed at all. This stove is replacing my VC Defiant that we have used for the last 26 years. We have had no problems with back puffing and the cat temp. is usually around 1000 to 1200 degrees and the stove anywhere from 450 to 500 degrees. When loaded for the night it does last 8 to 12 hours, the ash pan is also a big plus, cleanup is very easy. I would recommend this stove for anyone looking to use this as a main source of heating your home.
