Review: Jotul F 3 CB
My Jotul woodstove has been a mess of toxic fumes since it was installed a couple of years ago. What a waste of money. We have burned at least 2 cords of wood so it is not a "newness" problem or any nonsense like that. We burn clean, dry maple. There is adequate draft and the pipe is straight up through the ceiling. We are doing nothing wrong. I used several woodstoves for years while living in the north and I have never experienced a stove that smells like this piece of garbage. We burn with a surface temperature and a flue temp recommended by Jotul. Anyone who has ever been in our house while it is burning asks, "what is wrong with your woodstove? It smells like poison" Poison indeed. It gives us headaches and we had to all but give up on using it. I don't want my children to breathe whatever is coming off the stove.
