Review: Regency F2400 Classic
I replaced my old Pacific Energy with a new Regency F3100,what a big and expensive mistake! Had it installed by guardian chimney services in Campbell River B.C. Nothing but problems from the get go.The door would never seal which caused over firing far as I can tell. The inside corroded and the tubes bent and the baffles crumbled. I was working away from home last winter and my wife called Guardian to complain. They came out one time to look then basically told us tough titty! So we went to Regency and complained about our 5 month old stove being destroyed. Without even looking they denied warranty and accused us of burning salt wood and "treated mill ends" whatever the hell that is?!?! Never been treated so poorly from a business or company before. I added a thin gasket on top of the door gasket to try and get a paper seal, still didn't work. It seems the hinges on the door are welded to far out as I borrowed a new door from another Regency dealer in Courtenay just to try and see if I could get a paper seal with a different door, didn't work. I replaced the tubes and baffles on my own for over $300 in Sept, already the tubes are bending and the fire box is corroding just as fast. I will have to replace the stove next fall!
