Dutchwest Cast Iron Extra Large 2462
We purchased a house that has this stove in the fireplace as a permanent insert. I have yet to figure out how to use it properly. It's huge but does not seem to be able to heat up the first floor. The temp. probe on the top rarely goes over 800 degrees and usually remains around 500 degrees. I've had 3 backpuffing incidents and could not figure out the reason why other than the cat.converter was blocked due to low temp. fires. I'm still figuring it out and blame my issues more on operator error.
