Quadra-Fire Mt Vernon AE
I would never buy a Quadra-Fire product again. I hope they go out of business.
I've owned the MV for a little less than two years when it started getting "check ash pan" errors. I thought well it's still under warranty I'll get it fixed. Called the dealer I bought if from and they said sure we can come out Saturday the labor will be $150 min. I said but the labor and parts are under warranty. They said no they charge for labor anyway.
I called a few more dealers and got the "did you buy it here" click.
Called Quadra-Fire and they said the can't control their dealers I am on my own. What it the dealer said $500, or $1000?
It still runs occasionally now that it is cold out, I hope it does not start a fire (because of the ash pan) and burn my house down. I would probably give Quadra-Fire the bill to build me a new one.
The other brands on the market seem to have many more dealers, I wish I want with something else.
