I agree that there are to many whiners out there. When I bought my stove 3 years ago thats one of the things the dealer told me is you have to shut it down once a day and clean it. I here all you people talking about pellets I personally 80% corn and 20% pellets burn hotter and cleaner ran out of corn one time and tried just pellets what a mess it makes. Try mixing corn with it it works alot better and alot cleaner.I live in Michigan and we have had some real cold winters and I have'nt run my furnace since I've had this stove.About once a month you have to give it a good cleaning I take the inside bake part of the stove off and the inside top part of the stove and get a vacume and clean out all the ash dos'ent take that long.I found out if you leave the door open untill it is ready to light it wont start the automatic feed so you dont have to worry about the fire pot filling up to fast. This year are igniter just went out on ours you can order one online for $35 its a easy fix but in the mean time I soak about a half of cup of pellets with rubbing alcohol and light works great. My fuel bill has went from $3000. a year to about $500 to $600 a year love it.iit paid for itself the first year I owned it.
