I am pretty unhappy with this stove. It requires a dangerous start, i.e. must leave door open, it tak es a while to heat it up....over 45 minutes, and no way it lasts overnight. It cant be shut down so wood burns within 5 hours and coals minimal by morning. It takes a lot of wood to run this ...

In 2 years the second igniter failed yesterday. Been waiting for over a month for service on the igniter push button that fell apart. Tried to buy a part on line but the manufacturer appears more concerned about protecting its territory than serving its customers. Will try to contact an out of area ...

Further to my earlier review of the 24th October 2016, this stove was such a dead loss that I had no choice but either to scrap it and buy another stove or try and modify it in such a way that it was at least usable. So I drilled a 8mm hole at the bottom of the door to supply the stove with air ...

Grew up with wood heat and wanted it also in our 2400square foot two-story house, built in 1991, Okanagan, B.C. . Old windows that have broken seals, an unfinished basement and a set of stairs that divides the house make our brand new install a little iffy, as I was wondering if the heat would ...

I spoke too soon and would change my rating if I could. After the combustor fell apart I called the dealer. A new combustor with tax and shipping costs $420. Competitors combustors were a 3rd of that cost. Several dealers quoted the same price and stated they didn't set the price. Sent a ...

Bought this stove in 2008. I keep it running all winter long. Now in 2016 is the first time I've had any issues. Need to replace the combustor. It's not the best but I have an older Lopi Answer. The local dealer in Clark Lake, Michigan pretty much sucks so for that reason I'd never buy another Lopi stove.
