Blaze King Princess Ultra PEJ1006
Review and ratings contributed by goofygpa on Jun 13, 2016

I have owned the Princess model for 5 years now and prior to the Princess went through 5 other brands of free standing stoves. The amount of heat per cord of wood, (birch, white ash, maple) is far more than any other brand stoves. I live on an island in northern Minnesota where -20* f is not ...

I bought this stove, I was happy for the first two years, after that it has cost me more money to repair it and to keep it running. This year so far I have paid $400.00 dollars out in service calls, (4 Visits) and $300.00 in parts. I really don't think it is worth keeping. I bought the stove to ...

I just had this stove installed today and burned it. The stove takes a bit of work to get going, but once it gets up to 400 degrees it works impressively. I like the large size of the firebox. This is a huge improvement over my 30 year old Jotul # 8, which I also really liked. The stove won't ...

Worst stove I have ever owned, heat tubes and baffles only last about 3 years, takes months to get new ones through warranty, handle is cheaply made and does not last, would not cover this under warranty, overall quality is not as good as other stoves

Pacific Energry True North TN19
Review and ratings contributed by Paul Rose on Apr 10, 2016

All I can tell you is that I will never have another one. Neither will most people I know. Its very hard to start and smokes (not always) during lighting. Its design ensures that almost all the heat comes out of the glass and almost no heat from any of the sides. In fact you can touch the sides ...

As long as your wood is seasoned well.. this stove is great. Older stoves will ignite semi-seasoned wood a lot easier. It throws a lot of heat.. and hard wood will keep coals until morning when its loaded up and if the damper is off. Sometimes its hard to start unlike older stoves, and can get ...

We bought this stove from a local store in 1999 in case the Y2K thing turned out to be an issue. I am SO glad we bought it. It has served us very well all these years and now we are selling the house it's in and it's going with the house. I WISH we were keeping it but I hope to get another one like ...

Vermont Castings Aspen 1920
Review and ratings contributed by Jan on Mar 10, 2016

I have heated my home with the Aspen for five years and I find it to be a good little stove. It does what it's supposed to do, nothing more, nothing less. Mine is coupled with an Eco-fan which sits on top and gently blows warm air down the hall to the bedrooms. I also use a stove-top thermometer ...

I have the quadrafire for about 7 yrs now and my only regret is not having spent the additional $500 for the ash drawer. I bought a caframo fan that just sits on the wood stove to distribute the hot air more evenly than my ceiling fan and I am snuggly warm even at -30 degrees. just have to load ...

I am new to wood burning stoves. Purchased a home in New Mexico that had a water boiler with radiant heaters and a Jotul F3 CB stove. Boiler failed in an ice storm and later just due to age. Both times the heat provided by the Jotul saved the day. Efficient... Low wood use in relation to heat ...

I bought this "small" stove a few years ago to heat my 925 sqft home. Every winter, I have to open windows or it gets too warm. I have used the blower at -20, but otherwise just use it as radiant heat. This stove is obviously well built and efficient and heats so well that I need to ...

I have heated exclusively with wood for the last 40 years and the true north is by far the best stove I have ever had. This stove does everything extremely well. It is easy to light a fire, it will hold a fire, and the secondary burn system works great.

This stove is crap. I barely heats the room it is in to 65 degrees. Yes it will burn for 12 hours and keep the room, not the house at a consistent 59 degrees. I would never consider buying one of these again. The $330 plastic fan is a joke on a wood stove as well, it melted the fan.
