Jotul F 100 Nordic QT
Review and ratings contributed by 2TallNH on Apr 08, 2014

We've had our little Jotul F100 going for about 3 weeks now. We have a 2000 sq. ft. split level in S. NH. We installed the stove in the living room, (center of the open concept living room, kitchen, dinning room), and facing down the hallway to 3 bedrooms. We also simultaneously had our house ...

Jotul F 3 CB
Review and ratings contributed by BobK on Apr 04, 2014

I have been using the Jotul 3 CB since 1999 (not the F 3 CB). I burn about a cord of wood each season. I burn only well seasoned (curing for at least 2 years) hardwoods. Whenever I run the stove I make sure there is a window open about 1/8 inch nearby. The Jotul 3 CB stove has been flawless! It ...

Purchased this stove and had it professionally installed. It heats our 1500 sq ft week-end home with no problems. The reburn is excellent at 400-500 degrees. It will hold a fire for 6-8 hours with dry popular with no problem. I have only used the winter grill once but it is a nice feature. I do ...

I'm so disappointed in this stove. I've burned wood forever and have had better luck with older cheaper stoves. Hard to start, have to keep flue open all the way or fire goes out. Leaves big chunks of charcoal instead of ashes like my others stoves. What a waste of money!

I sorely regret getting this stove. I have been using wood heat for almost 40 years, and this is by far the worst woodstove I've ever dealt with. It is so poorly designed that instructions require you to have 25 feet of stovepipe just to get it to draw. It also says that if you are having trouble ...

I have 2 Jotul F3s, the 12 year old one is perfect, excellent bit of kit, well made and no problems whatsoever. This is why I bought a second 3 years ago for a games room - totally different story. It is used in exactly the same way as the original stove but the burn plates have just disintegrated ...

Do Not buy this stove! This stove has many issues with the biggest one being the Combustor. I have had two of these stoves and both time the Combustor has melted. Also with the first stove the By-Pass door would not shut properly. After several months and numerous serivce calls the stove was ...

This stove came with the house I bought. I checked with the 'dollar method' and with smoke that the gaskets are ok , the air vent control is ok and the hard wood I use is dry. It gives plenty of heat. The problem is that the fire will last less than 3 hours with a full load of wood and the ...

Bought the Jotul F3CB as a replacement for a Morso 7110 and was a total mistake. The jotul was rated 4,000 BTU higher than the Morso but is a real joke, can't even heat half the footage claimed. The stove "over fired" even with all draft controls closed, had to install a stack damper to ...

I've owned by Liberty for 4 years. I love it. The fire box is air tight so one can choke off the air to calm the burning rate. The important thing is "dry wood"! For you new bees...you must get cherry, oak, locust, maple, etc., split it and stack it to dry. You must cover the wood to ...

We've had this stove about two years now and overall are quite happy with it. We wanted a stove that would give us an "overnight" burn and it will do that with the proper fuel. Larger pieces of dense, dry wood should give you a long burn. Smaller pieces just go too fast and the firebox ...

I love this stove, lights easy and been heating my entire top floor for three seasons. I have broken the glass (ceramic actually) once but that was my fault. Burns all night if you know how to use it. If the dampper is closed you will get smoke in the house when you open the door. The trick ...

I have had this stove for 6 years now and it is a very simple stove to use. It burns very clean and looks great. I have been using the Regency F2400 stove for the past 7 winters. The stove was installed in the basement so we get that nice radiant heat. The house itself is less than 800 square feet. The only time we have to use our electric baseboard heaters is when we have to clean the stove. I am quite ...

Junked a Jotul stove that I couldn't keep lit for more than 10 minutes without babying it to death. Never got it to work. Took a chance with the Aspen. Some newspaper, some kindling, one match...Bam! Heats the entire upper floor to 68° for hours on end without re-loading. Burns all night, no ...

Its a decent stove but way over priced for what you get. My reburner kept falling i had to weld it to fix that. also the air intake lever keeps coming disconnected from the plat inside. the bottom draft door latch comes apart all the time. this is crap i would expect from a home depot model.

I fired up my Lopi Republic 1250 for the first time last week. All the smoke went up the chimney; none came into the living room of our cabin. No need for a bypass system. It takes a while for the stove to warm up but once it does, it really pumps out the heat. It works well to get the wood load ...

Hate this stove! I grew up with a Jotul and it was great. My husband got a cheap stove from Home Depot for downstairs we have had it for years, we wanted to get off oil so we bought a "good" stove for our living room. If you want to breath in smoke all day and look at black glass I would ...

I would give this stove a higher rating but if you need parts, the cost is outrageous. One of the small bolts/clip that hold the Manifold pipes in place fell out and to replace will cost me about $50. The fiberboard baffle about $160. Based on the cost to replace broken parts I would not recommend ...

We downsized from an older and larger stove, so we knew there would be an adjustment to the small size. The stove is rated for 1300 sf and we are heating less than that in a 20 year old house which is fairly tight and well insulated, in North Carolina. This stove just does not put out the heat. ...
