Great wood stove. I've had it for over 10 years, and I heat my house with it all winter. My wife and I get home around 6 pm and I can build a fire we can start cooking dinner on in about an hour. It's usually still 75 when we get up in the morning for work. If you can't make this stove heat up, ...

Dutchwest Cast Iron Large 2461
Review and ratings contributed by Chom on Feb 11, 2017

I've used my DW for about 4 seasons, replacing an older non-air tight stove. I couldn't be more disappointed. The creosote is ridiculous. I try to run it with the damper open as often as possible to keep it hot enough to avoid the cooler exhaust. Using well seasoned hardwood. Never had an issue ...

My Jotul woodstove has been a mess of toxic fumes since it was installed a couple of years ago. What a waste of money. We have burned at least 2 cords of wood so it is not a "newness" problem or any nonsense like that. We burn clean, dry maple. There is adequate draft and the pipe is ...

I am so happy with this Lopi Republic 1250. It is very easy to use, user friendly, economical and most importantly it works. It can heat up the room immediately with just using few woods. What I love about this stove is that it has a large capacity. You can actually have big pieces of wood into it. It can heat up the room in a matter of minutes if you assist it constantly. But if you just leave it and allow it to burn the woods on its own, it would take hours to really heat up.

Quadra-Fire 4300 Millennium

Don't believe the lifetime warranty! Our stove had cracks all over inside the firebox and the overhead pipes sagged. We never let the stove get over 500 degrees. The company said we over fired the stove and wouldn't cover anything. I've heard other people had same problem. DON't buy a Quadrafire!

I first bought this stove and I too thought it was deficient in the way it breathed. I have a remote 800 sq ft well built cabin and set this up and it always smoldered the wood away. The cabin is pretty tight so I added a outside air vent kit. This sucker rocks now

I am pretty unhappy with this stove. It requires a dangerous start, i.e. must leave door open, it tak es a while to heat it up....over 45 minutes, and no way it lasts overnight. It cant be shut down so wood burns within 5 hours and coals minimal by morning. It takes a lot of wood to run this ...

Further to my earlier review of the 24th October 2016, this stove was such a dead loss that I had no choice but either to scrap it and buy another stove or try and modify it in such a way that it was at least usable.
