We've had our Lopi Liberty since 1996. From the start is seemed to be not performing as well as the smaller but different type wood burning stove it replaced. (This one is designed to warm the air moving past it, the old one was designed to warm solid objects in the room by radiation, a method that ...

Dutchwest Cast Iron Small 2460
Review and ratings contributed by Warm-n-Toasty on Feb 16, 2015

I bought a used, pre-China model 2460 several months ago for $350. I replaced the inner web underneath the damper ($21), the back plate in the stove ($46), and worn stove rope in door and under the top ($20). I got it up and running yesterday, 2-15-15, just before the ice storm hit. So far it is ...

Great stove, but for whatever reason after a year of good service suddenly the lever for the door lock hates to rotate, it takes most of my strenght to unlock and then relock it, pesky. I would call the local distributor but he proved to be such a massive flake I don't want the aggravation. - ...

Review and ratings contributed by TIPS: Control the air flow in this stove. on Jan 31, 2015

Here are some tips on getting a fire going in the F100: To start a fire, make sure the damper is fully open. Roll and crush a single page of newspaper -- twist in the middle so it's the full width of the firebox. Add a couple sticks of thin kindling and a couple pieces of thicker, then a couple ...

We love this little stove. It replaced a gas insert last fall, so was set out from the wall by a 20" horizontal stovepipe because of the existing wooden mantel -- we were afraid it might affect the draw but there was no problem. Our house is a 1700 sf rambler, and the stove is in the living ...

Best stove that i have purchased out of four. Agree with most of the positive comments above. The only thing i don't like is the noise level of the fan on high. So far very pleased though. Maybe my chimney set up favors this stove? Not sure but works well.

I purchased this stove in 2011 for use in my small 240 sq ft cabin. the cabin has nine foot walls with a 100 square foot loft. the peak of the roof is nearly 14 feet high so there is plenty of cubic feet to heat. This stove does the job just fine in my northern Minnesota location. the stove is ...

Would I recommend the Lopi Republic 1750? Yes. But there are questions your dealers need to ask before a customer buys your wood stove. One: what type of chimney do you have? Two: is the chimney inside your home or outside? Three: what size chimney/flue do you have? Four: does your chimney ...

I upgraded in 2010 from a 1979 Vermont Casting Resolute with thermostatic air inlet damper because I wanted cleaner burns, a larger window and the beautiful cream color. Burn time is often about wood, not the stove. If you're only getting 2 hours burn time, are you using soft wood, like willow, eastern pine varieties, cottonwood? Those burn quickly. Get some hardwood and use the soft for kindling or in warmer months. Seasoning wood, cut to length, split and stacked ...
