Quadra-Fire Mt Vernon AE
Review and ratings contributed by Lab Lover on Jan 10, 2018

Bought this AE in early 2017. Full use started in November, 8 months later. "Dealer" is a one-man shop; service response from him is HORRIBLE. Worse. Called Quadra Fire direct and complained about their dealer's lack of service, stove quit working completely after thermostat started ...

I have had this stove for 5 years and it's BTU output has never come close to advertised. My much cheaper Enviro rated at 35,000 btu's blows this Harman away. Very Expensive Pretty looking stove - but very inefficient (much of the heat goes out the chimney); not functional, very small ash pan which ...

I have had this stove about ten years. I have always found it difficult to clean, and finicky to operate. I just had it professionally cleaned (and serviced) two days ago, for $200. The result? I am listening to whistling noise from the fan. On top of that, on higher settings the flame has been too ...

Hi There, I have had this stove going on 6 years now, I live in NH and burn about 4 to 5 tons a season. I see a lot of comments on here about the squealing noise. This is how you need to fix that noise, take the 2 back covers off with the stove off and unplugged. Locate the auger and the motor on ...

I purchased this stove Oct 2008. I burn two tons of pellets, 100 - 40 lb bags a year every year since purchased. Some pellets have too much ash but I have found one I like and I special order them every year before the heating season. I typically clean the firebox every 10 bags. As the stove clogs ...

Really REALLY noisy. Runs only at full high speed, heats to about ten degrees above setting, then shuts down, leaving cold pocket for hours. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Should cycle into lower setting, keep warm, allow for comfort. Less comfortable, rather than more. Wish we jad never installed.

Had the stove for three years. Each year something has gone wrong with it at least once. I change the brakes on my car and maintain my boat, so I am reasonably competent, but this stove is a continuing source of frustration. The auger motor is the most common problem, it stops until I remove it, ...
