I'm seeing a lot of soot. It feels like its dampening the heat output. Can anyone tell me why I have so much soot?

I have been involved with somewhere around 800 oil stoves in my area, of these 1/2 approximately are Napoleon OS 10 and none are a problem to operate. Usually when I get a call from a owner its turns out to be a set up problem its a shame because of this set up error that an owner feels the unit is ...

Using it for 6 years outstanding. Only time it malfunctioned was my fault. On tall chimneys the stove startscif the chimneyvis warm. Burn some starter for a bit before turning on the oil flow. Will buy another if I build another home.

My experience with this heater has been very good. You should read the instruction and you will have no problems. I use it as a backup and is connected directly to my oil furnace fuel tank. I does not require power so if I lose my electrical supply this unit will heat my cellar and keep my pipes ...

I love it! I live in a four story row home in Philadephia and my natrual gas bill used to be around 650.00 a month and we were not nearly as warm as we are now. Even though the price of oil is high for my second fill, my first fill is done in the summer when the price is low. I need to fill a 275 ...

I have used this stove for years. We love it. It is hard to start when the chimney is cold, but once going it has been trouble free. Cleaning is necessary but not too difficult. After many years I need a new carburator/float regulator. Any one know where?

I have used this stove for over 16 years and am using the 2nd one now. It is hard to light unless I leave a Tablespoon of charcoal or dirt mounded in the center of the fire pot. The I let the oil flow into the pot until I see it has just surrounded that center, which wicks the fuel & I light ...

I have had one ten years. Love the heat and effeicincy. Do not like replacing the $300 burner which burns through every five years and is misleadingly NOT covered under warranty. Also when the burner burns through it can drip burning oiil out into the room.

We had our stove located in a basement apartment, since day 1 we experienced problems with the stove not lighting and flooding, the stove 'puffed 2-3 times nearly blowing up once, this resulted in the glass cracking. After 3 years the stove rusted so bad on the interior we stopped using it, (after ...

We have this stove at our 22'x24' log cabin. Use it as a 24 hour heater and supplement with the woodstove. Overall, very pleased. If you want to wake up cold and have to use a turkey baster to remove a liter of oil from your stove then get a Kuma. My Kuma is such a lemon of a stove its putting me in a lousy mood. I have used this stove for several years, Best value for the money. I burn dyed diesel #2. You need a minimum 15 ft of 5" pipe from the top of the stove. At high altitude 4" is supposed to work better. If you have a draft problem you don't have enough pipe, or your damper is not adjusted ...
