Quadra-Fire Mt Vernon AE
- Review contributed by HouseHeater
on Jul 29, 2008
- Switched back to wood because of this stove. Uses tons of fuel for the amount of heat it generates. Since I have learned that there are at least two (St. Croix & Harman) other stoves on the market that do much better with fuel and maybe I would have liked pellet if I would have chosen them... but too late for me. See a stove burning, especially ...

Breckwell P2000FS
- Review contributed by Han526
on Jul 27, 2008
- I just purchased one this year. Only did some test run. Overall, it seemed to have worked fine. It is a little noisy, however. Not as what it said whisper quiet. Will see how well it performs in winter. Some people used the highest heating setting, which is not for normal use. Try to avoid that.

Breckwell P24FS
- Review contributed by Addie
on Jul 01, 2008
- I've always had wood stoves and decided to go with the P24fs pellet for my cabin at the lake. I heat 1500 square feet without a problem and that's usually bringing the temp up from cold. Impressive all around.

- Holds absolute huge volume of wood and truly burns 20 hours on my oak! I've owned many others, but the King and Princess models are way ahead of the others and burn so clean.

Quadra-Fire Mt Vernon AE
- Review contributed by Maryi
on Jun 20, 2008
- I'm so glad we made the investment to buy this stove. I'm still new to using a pellet stove, but this Quadrafire stove made it easy to learn. The stove saved us over 1,500 dollars this winter.

Bixby Energy Maxfire
- Review contributed by rona
on Apr 30, 2008
- I bought three Maxfires last fall. I have used both a Harman PC45 and a Quadrafire AE for one season before buying the Max Fire 115. Once you get the settings done the Bixby runs great and puts out consistant heat. I like the way you can program it to suit your specific needs using Bixcheck and my own computer to adjust the software or update to a ...

Jotul F 602 CB
- Review contributed by Jordo
on Apr 21, 2008
- For a small stove, I haven't been able to beat this one and I've owned a lot of stoves. It uses a lot of wood, burns quick in my opinion for the heat I get out of it. Heats my pantry and kitchen, and I get some heat from it into the dining room. Overall, a great stove for us.

Hearthstone Bennington
- Review contributed by wraffeldt@hotmail.com
on Mar 09, 2008
- TWO MAJOR complaints on this stove..... As mentioned in the previous post, you can not get a real flame unless the ash pan door is open. Also the 'self cleaning' system for the front glass forces the smoke to billow into the room when you open the front doors to load it. The smole billows out because the air intake forces the air to front of th...

Hearthstone Bennington
- Review contributed by Jerald RAppleyea
on Jan 26, 2008
- Don't buy this stove. It is extremely difficult to operate. We have burned wood for over 25 years and never had problems until we purchased this stove. It has a mind of its own, when you want it to burn hot it is impossible to get it going wiothout cheating and allowing a door or the ash pan to be opened allowing more air into the stove. When y...

Vermont Castings Aspen 1920
- Review contributed by AspenLover
on Jan 25, 2008
- I have to say this is really a great stove. It was in my price range when I bought it and I was skeptical at first, but it's a proven heater in my house. I installed it myself, too. Really easy, but I grew up with stoves in the house. I rated it a 4/5 stars too.

Breckwell Big E Utility Furnace and Home Heater
- Review contributed by Stevie
on Jan 23, 2008
- We've had our Big E for about a year, and we haven't had any problems with it. It's actually a bit more powerful than I thought, and I've had to figure out how to burn to get less output. It is totally worth what I paid for it.

Breckwell Big E Utility Furnace and Home Heater
- Review contributed by Basking Lizard
on Dec 06, 2007
- We bought a Big E Home Heater last year. It ran for about 4 months before parts started failing on it. We've replaced the combustion blower twice and the control panel three times, and it continues to malfunction. Currently waiting for Breckwell to get back to us on how they will resolve this, although at this point, we really just want a refund so...

on Nov 28, 2007
- I now have had my stove for about two weeks. It seems to work great, but sometimes touchy, About once a week it just shuts down. Once there was flashing lights, once it just took a break. In both cases, I cleaned out the ash and fired right back up. It does put out a lot of heat! I have been burning pellets and this is my first stove. I don't like ...

Dutchwest Cast Iron Large 2461
- Review contributed by Pine Knot
on Nov 17, 2007
- I have been using the Duchwest "large" for about three weeks. Very satisfactory so far. It is clean, provides lots of heat, fire lasts over night with enough coals left to quickly restart the fire. The Catalytic Combustor lights off on schadule at 500 degrees It is I think a good choice for those needing a stove to use 24/7.
