Quadra-Fire Classic Bay 1200
The Classic Bay 1200 features a large ash drawer and an 80 pound pellet hopper, which provides enough fuel for up to 40 continuous hours of operation. With an adjustable convection blower, heat dissipation can be moderated to get the most out of the stove’s rated heat output of 15,000 to 40,000 BTUs.
The stove provides automatic ignition and the capability for thermostat control and is rated to heat up to a 2500 square feet area. A multi-fuel stove, the Classic Bay will burn either wood pellets or shelled corn.

I have gone through two 1200 and have had numerous customer service problems with HNI. They pretty much told me to sue them for any satisfaction. Stove went out in middle of night and froze water pipes causing 15,000 worth of damage. I contacted the VP of HNI Ross Morrison and he said there was nothing he could do. I contacted a dealer to come fix the stove and he said he couldnt fix it. He didnt ...Overall Performance:

I bought the CB1200 about two months ago, other then a snap disc that went out, the stove has been great. It heats my 2000 square foot main floor with no problems. I have had problems with the Lignetics pellets though, some bags have short pellets which burn fine. Others have longer pellets that create a "bridge" which prevents the auger from feeding properly. I would recommed this ...Overall Performance:

Installation easy, unit worked perfectly and heats 1900 sqft.Internals are difficult to maintain. You must do a considerable amount of work to clean and store for summer. Owners manual lacking in this respect.
I had heat exchanger tube scrapers rods rust and steel in burn area rust heavily during summer. Recommend scraping and painting in early Spring. Desiccant may ...

Have a 2005 model 1200i which I got from a friend for no cost. It needed a new control box and auger motor. This is my second season. Runs great!! Puts out way more heat than the Castile insert model. Requires regular maintenance and cleaning just like all stoves do. I highly recommend this model.Overall Performance:

I have owned this stove for 2 years. I have the insert version that is in my fireplace. It heats my 1500 sq ft downstairs to 73+ degrees......Massachusetts can be cold. It has been very reliable and works perfectly. I used Eagle Valley Pellets last year and Energex this year. No jamming whatsoever. It does need to be thoroughly cleaned in the summer and recommend wiping down the scraper ...Overall Performance:

I own a 1200 and have had nothing but great heat and easy use. I heat 2200 sq ft with no problem. Of course I do not buy crap pellets either.(If the pellets are stored outside, DO NOT BUY THEM) I have read a bunch of the reviews on here and it sounds more like bad pellets and bad dealers than bad stoves, not just quads. I am a service tech and have had the opportunity to work on lots of pellet ...
