Keeps house 66-70 degrees even with -4 degree temps. Quiet operation, large pellet hopper, great price. Has been running since Nov 18, 24/7 no problems at all. Previous pellet stove was an Avalon. I planned on buying another, but the Breckwell was 900.00 cheaper and burns better than the Avalon. My friend has heated his home with a Breckwell for 4 years 24/7 and had no problems this helped to convince me to go with the Breckwell. No Regrets.

We bought a Big E Home Heater last year. It ran for about 4 months before parts started failing on it. We've replaced the combustion blower twice and the control panel three times, and it continues to malfunction. Currently waiting for Breckwell to get back to us on how they will resolve this, although at this point, we really just want a refund so we can get a stove that actually works. In a ...Overall Performance:

We've had our Big E for about a year, and we haven't had any problems with it. It's actually a bit more powerful than I thought, and I've had to figure out how to burn to get less output. It is totally worth what I paid for it.Overall Performance:

We have been using this stove for 3 years. We use this in a 2000 sq ft home as our primary heat source. During the heating season it runs 24/7 (except when we shut it down to clean it). We have it in our unfinished basement. We used only 75 gallons of fuel oil last year here in the mountains of SoutWestern Pennsylvania. I am thinking about buying another one to put in our livingroom.Overall Performance:

We have had our Stove for 3 years and have not had a problem with it at all. Here in Montana it gets really cold durning the winter. Our house is over 2000 Sq Ft and is two levels. On the number 2 setting the house stays about 72 degrees when it is around 20 degrees out side. On the number 3 setting it is 85 inside. As it gets colder, we turn it on the number 3 setting. I am still playing ...Overall Performance:

Please do yourself a favor and do not purchase this stove we have had nothing but headaches since we spent all of our stimulus check on this. We have had to replace the ash pan twice since we installed in October. The burn pot over fills causing the burning coals to tumble into the front of the ash pan causing it to "Pop" releasing hot coals and unburned pellets to spill onto floor a ...Overall Performance:

This stove has bad blower motors. After 1 winter you will have to replace them. Customer service does not seem to exist. Buy a better stove and save yourself a lot of grief.Overall Performance:

I am now on my second big e The first one was so bad that they replaced it after only 3 months. This one seems to work ok so far.It has been installed for about a week.Customer service sucks. The place I bought it from tried to help but their hands were tied.I think the advertising is full of lies. You cant run the stove on high for over two hours at a time or it will fry the motherboard,if you put ...Overall Performance:

I've had this Big E pellet eating monster in my place for two winters now. The following are some observations:1. The stove “works”, but considering the $2,000 price, I don't think that it does a very good job at heating or is a very good product.
2. The design is very bare-bones-basic.
3. Some mechanical aptitude is absolutely required. If you can’t or don’t want to ...

This thing is cheap, and you get what you pay for. The replacement parts are all over $250 each, so beware. Both fans failed out of warranty and I paid $500 to replace. On top of that - only a modest heater. Can't get ahold of custermer service live. Look elsewhere for another brand (I found out that Golden eagle is the same as breckwell!)Overall Performance:

We heat our 2,000sf home with the Big E and are very happy. My only complaint is the volume- a bit loud. We are using a 40lb bag a day/every other day with it running 24hrs a day. We live in NH and with the temp. outside dramatically dropping during the winter it pulls it's weigh.Overall Performance:

Paid $2500 for the stove four years ago. The first winter, it ran with few problems, but pellets were extremely hard to find. The second winter, the stove sterted shutting down and the convection fan died ($250). (So many people had this problem that the dealer had a whole grocery cart of them from 2 weeks). We also had to replace the burn pot and pan due to warping ($200). The third year, it ...Overall Performance:

Customer service is non-existent. If you're not very familiar with these type of stoves then buy from a different manufacturer. Eventhough I bought a stove made in late 2009 it still has a couple minor problems. The store I bought it from was not much help and I've had no luck getting help from Breckwell eventhough I've sent in their customer help form several times.... lesson is to never buy ...
