Bought mine in 2007. Used one season. The next season it went lemon! Motor turns past a screw and breaks off repeatedly. Followed manual to the "t". Certified rep installed and repaired to no success. Tried in 2011 to get it going again. Had to pay certified rep. Big money to travel to area. No other reps. around. Paid over $500 to get it working for one night. Same old story. Motor ...Overall Performance:

We are 4 months into our first season using the stove and are incredibly disappointed with performance. We burn a hard/soft mix of wood pellets. Pros: 1. The unit is very efficient and heats our 100+ y.o. house well. Cons: 1. NOISY auger and stirrer. We have to turn the stove down to setting 1 or OFF to watch a movie in our living room. On a cold winter day, that's sad. 2. ...Overall Performance:

I purchased mine in 2004. So far I've gone though 6 auger motors and just now the stir motor is shot on it too. (fyi: Don't go to american energy systems for motor replacements!). The stir motor runs to often and it's noisy. I've had to replace the stir rod and the pot. When I run corn, it messes up the side of my house. It doesn't do corn very well so I've resorted to wood pellets (better ...Overall Performance:

We are really enjoying this energy source we have only used wood pellets and still need to experiment with the corn..It dropped down to 9 degrees a few weeks ago and our 3200 square foot home stayed warm on 2 on so did we...AMAZING!!! I purchased a Magnum Countryside two years ago. It works great. I first started burning corn and it was great, very clean burning. I recently switched to pellets and the performance is also very good. I finaly hooked up the thermostat to the unit about three weeks ago, and burn less fuel and have a more consistent heat rather than having to wear shorts all winter in the house. also i set the ...Overall Performance:

I have the Magnum Countryside stove. I heat 2000 sq fr ranch all winter. I turn my heat pump off. This will be my 4th winter and I have been trouble free. I burn corn pellet mix. For those having the stirrer problem when burning corn, you should remove the pellet fire-pot and stirrer and replace it with a bio-mass pot. No stirrer in it and works great. I remove the clinker in the morning and at ...Overall Performance:

I purchased my Countryside Magnum in 2003. It has been my only heat source ever since. I burn corn. Usually run it on level 2 unless it is extremely cold outside (1500 sq/ft home). On level 2, it burns about 1 bushel of corn a day. I'm probably on my 4th stirrer rod, and this one is on it's way out also. Firepot has been repaired (welded) once, it is about due for replacement. All motors ...Overall Performance:

I GOT ONE USED IN A TRADE, WHEN I FIRST STARTED USING IT, IT WOULD ONLY RUN ABOUT 8HOURS BEFORE BACKING UP. AFTER PLAYING WITH THE SETTINGS I FINALLY GOT IT TO BURN GOOD ON LEVEL 3 BUT WOULD STILL BACK UP ON 4 OR 5. SO I ADDED A LITTLE FAN TO THE AIR INTAKE THAT I CAN ADJUST THE SPEED ON. NOW I CAN BURN ANYTHING IN IT, AND WHEN THE ASHES STARTS TO BUILD I JUST TURN THE FAN ON HIGH AND IT CLEANS ...Overall Performance:

I have the Magnum Countryside, this stove is wonderful, I live in an older drafty house and this stove set at 2 keeps it more than warm ... it is hot, last week it was 9 degrees outside, I ran the stove on 3 in the evenings then turned it to 2 for overnight and daytime when everyone was gone, it kept the house at 75 degrees. I burn a mixture of corn and pellets and use the sturr. I have NO ...Overall Performance:

I HAVE A WINCHESTER MULTI-FUEL STOVE BY MAGNUM. WE WERE USING ELECTRIC HEAT IN OUR HOME. NOW WE BUY CORN OR CORN/PELLET MIX FOR OUR STOVE. IT'S GREAT! IT DOES MAKE A CLINKER EACH DAY THAT HAS TO BE REMOVED. THAT IS THE WASTED OF CORN FUEL, WHICH ISN'T MUCH. MY HUSBANDS USUALLY REMOVES IT. IT BURNS ABOUT 98% OF IT'S FUEL, TRANSFERS INTO PURE HEAT, UP TO 40,000 BTU'S. WE NEVER USE IT ON ...Overall Performance:

I have had the Countryside Baby Magnum for 5 years. Haven't had any significant problems, especially after they upgraded it to a higher output fan (std now). Runs constantly all winter and heats 100% of my MN house about 90% of the time. Uses 125 bushels of corn a year running constantly. It is in my basement and I never really run it above 2 o3 out of 5. It would be too warm. You need to ...Overall Performance:

This is a HUGE saver on our gas bill! Very good, well made product and if you read the book that accompanies the stove, it really answers alot of questions and trouble-shoots. The biggest problems we have encountered have been locating high quality starter gels that get the pellets started (you CANNOT use corn to start the fire!) and gets the stove hot enough so that when the corn auger starts, ...Overall Performance:

I have bought a Magnum from a friend of mine because it put out TOO MUCH heat for his house. I have a house about twice the size and installed it in my basement. the heat it gives warms the entire house and is on only medium (3) heat. My friend bought a smaller model for his house. I am very satisfied with the stove even if it is 4-5 years old.Overall Performance:

I bought my stove in May, and only began to use it in September. The motor has already blown on it and I'm not able to get the company to call me for a repair time. I've been calling them and I don't ever get a return call. Would not recommend this stove if the company does not stand behind the product.Overall Performance:

We are very happy with the heat burning pellets. We wanted to reduce oil consumption and this stove heats 2000 sq ft. The heat is very warm and eventually radiates through the house giving a much warmer feel than the oil furnace for roughly half the cost.Overall Performance:

I love our corn stove. Very easy to use. We are in our 4 season of using it and have no problems with it. Defintely the best. Really only takes about 5 minutes a day to fill and vacumm it out. Very easy to care for it and have a toasty house in return.
