We just had our Fahrenheit Endurance 50F installed in Oct. 2008 here in Ottawa, Canada, and the heat that comes out of there from the wood pellets is awesome. Next week the intsallers will hook it up to our existing oil furnace's duct work. Using this furnace as a pellet stove for one room is like shooting an ant with a bazooka so powerful it is. I do believe that it will be adequate to heat our ...Overall Performance:

I purchased the unit on 02/09/08 during the two months after install it was down over half the time. The computer board was replaced twice. I have been trying to use it since Oct. 08 and it will not keep running. I have try to work with the company tweeking it all the time. I spent $4580 on the unit and install so it would work perfectly. I have to fill the hopper twice a day with fuel. I ...Overall Performance:

I purchaced my Fahrenheit furnace in Nov 2008.Installed it myself, had a lot of problems with the pot overflowing and the furnace shuting down. After talking with my dealer he explained that I probably had a back draft issue.I switched from 3 to 4 inch vent pipe and also started to use outside air to my intake. My furnace now works totally different.I am extremely pleased with it now.Hope the person ...Overall Performance:

I worked as a service technician with many manufacture's and am just giving my perspective. This is a very high maintenance unit. It is pushed as low maintenance however because the burn pot empties itself out. But the maintenance required is extensive, for example every two months you need to remove the exhaust blower assembly to clean it and the way it is designed does not make it easy to do ...Overall Performance:

I guess I'm a little confused with some of the comments listed here. The installation and cleaning directions are very straight forward. I performed the install myself following the directions and my furnace has been up and running since November with no issues. Granted, there are many considerations and possibilities when selecting the fuel, location and installation of the unit. My home is ...Overall Performance:

I purchased my unit in Sept. '08. Just before Christmas it started smoking in the hopper. When I first called the company I was told it wasn't meant to be a stand alone unit. Then they back tracked and sent me a new one. I couldn't get all the fuel out without burning myself so it smoldered for two weeks. Most snow (36") in Oregon in 40yrs. Two weeks without heat. It's now mid May and my ...Overall Performance:

I kept a daily log during my first Canadian winter (2008-2009) using the 50F, which is hooked up to the existing oil furnace's duct work. It definitely works, even at -30C (-22F) on our 30 year old, 2 story, 1500 SQ/FT house. The temperature inside the house is more even than with the oil furnace as the hot air is more constantly delivered instead of bursts.I set the oil furnace 1 ...

I bought this stove Oct,2008 ,it worked ok1st week.Contacted salesman with problems smoking in house. He instructed to check pot assembly. It was installed incorrectly. The stove would put off smoke detectors in home when it was in clean out mode. Called factory tech he suggested to install stove on south side of home away from east wind .It has smoked our walls and my lungs are not good from the ...Overall Performance:

My advice for the above review dated September 24, 2009:(I have two more postings above.)
I solved every issues in a timely manner with the F-50 tech Mark Graham at MGraham@edmarmfg.com. Granted it's not fun when something doesn't work properly but getting it working feels great in the end especially with great F-50 tech assistance.
My own experience, to ...

This is my 3rd year burning the Farenheit 50. The company has replaced my burn pot three times and the control board three times. I have not put one dime into these replacement parts. The only parts I have replaced on my own, is the exhaust pipe. The only place I could set my stove to hook into the existing ductwork and to exhaust leaves me with about a ten foot horizontal run to the outside. I ...Overall Performance:

I've commented here a few times before and here's my latest update:This is my 2nd year using the F-50 and a lot of its performance depends on your location, how cold your winter is, the size of your house, level of insulation, the temperature you set it at, etc. More specs are on my previous postings so not to repeat.
But here's my rounded experience:
